DID YOU KNOW that a valuable area rug in your home is crying out and in need of a little TLC?
When people install hard floors in their homes, the first thing many of them do is cover those floors with area rugs. Some of these rugs cost thousands of dollars, and they need their own special protection.
A rug pad designed and sized specially for your area rug(s) is the protection they need and deserve.
Why go with a quality rug pad? Because they:
1. Add cushioning and comfort for you
2. Can add years to the life of a rug
3. Protect the flooring underneath the rug
4. Prevents the rug and you from slipping!
Besides a rug pad, your area rug also needs regular cleaning.
Don’t wait for your rug to cry out for help. It needs a pad of its own, right now. Give it the protection it needs and enjoy that rug for many years to come. Call us, Mae's Carpet Cleaning at 704-904-2964 for any of your area rug cleaning needs! You can also book online!
Sensitive to Mold and Other Allergens?
Did you know that even the healthiest of individuals can still feel negative effects of mold and other allergens in the presence of some common things around the house?
It’s not something that necessarily has to start growing in the basement of your house after a flood. It’s something that can “just happen” and it’s obviously not good but it can be easily fixed.
First of all, what are we even talking about?
Old stuff brought in
There are some things brought into your home that can trigger your allergies or other sensitivities. This includes cardboard boxes, packages and other items sent or brought to you. The worst of all would be old stuff, anything that has been around a while gathering allergens.
Old ‘normal’ stuff
We’ve all been to a library and smelled old books. Those old books and documents can be allergen triggers, so be sure to remember this before checking out or taking them into your home.
The holidays are the few times a year when you use ornaments and other things but of course you have to store them when not in use. Remember that they can bring in allergens. It might be best to give them at least a wipe-down, if not a complete cleaning, after taking them from the attic.
This one is tough, and sometimes a sensitive issue. Sure, it’s perfectly fine to pass on mattresses from one generation to another, but what are you getting when you receive an old mattress or other bedding from someone not close to you? And be careful with that new-looking mattress at your neighbor’s garage sale; you don’t know what you are getting into. Did you know that every mattress has dust mites?
Old rugs and carpet
Rugs and carpet are very important to you, but be sure to have them inspected by your carpet cleaning pro before bringing them into your home. They can collect all types of allergens and other contaminants that can affect you and your family.
Remember: don’t be afraid to throw old stuff out! Protect your health and your family!
Make sure that what you bring into your home is safe— especially for any allergy or asthma issues you or your family may have. For any Mold or Allergends removal give a call to Mae's Carpet Cleaning at (704)904-2964 or visit us @ www.maescarpetcleaning.com
